Happy Friday!

I made a surprising design announcement last week which was for my 2021-2022 sock club! It is for Eleanor of Aquitaine and if you’re interested, you can see the full details on my Ravelry design page or PayHip.

I managed to finish a pair of socks this week! They’re out of West Yorkshire Spinners 4ply sock in the Wood Pigeon colorway. I cast on in July and finished them about a week ago. They were knit on HiyaHiya 2.25mm 9 inch circs, using Addi Flexiflips for the heel and toe. They’re in my So Vanilla Sock recipe.

My other project that got a lot of love this week was my Miss Winkle shawl that I cast on in September of 2013. It’s been on the needles forever and occasionally gets dragged out, stared at and then put back in hibernation. Seeing as I cast it on in 2013 though and my goal is to move in the next year, I’m trying to work through some of these older WIPs to get them done, especially BEFORE September 1, 2021 which would make it a full 8 years on the needles. We can’t have that.

It’s in Manos Del Uruguay Alegria I think in Atlantico, I know the ball band is long gone.

The other thing that’s been holding my attention this week is another sock tube out of Knit Picks Imagination (long discontinued yarn) and I’m going to add in the heels and cuffs later in a contrasting color.

It’s brainless and I can throw it in my bag and work on it when I’m out. I’m hoping I can get it done fairly soon though and start looking at what I want to use for the heels and cuffs.

I hope your week is going well and you have some fun planned for the weekend. Happy Knitting!
