The never ending sock yarn blanket

I will be completely honest, I’m still working on the sock yarn blanket that I started during the Olympics, the 2008 Olympics. (Ravelry pattern project page here). I might be a day or week off, but I remember putting into a lot of work on it during that time period.

I’ve made pushes to get further before, but I’m nervous that this WIP is going to turn 20. On a related note, I’ve finished an entire mitered square blanket in that time out of larger squares that took around 5 years and I gave it to my mom for Christmas two years ago.

I’m making another push to get it done or at least get it closer to completion this year. I want to do at least 2 squares a day which will be around 60 a month. Ideally I’d like to do an extra 10 on top of that. So far I’ve got 2 a day through the 6th, but I’m going to show the first 5 days first.

So that’s a goal of 852 squares this year.

I now present the first 10. Until next time!
