I’m starting to feel like it’s a growth and restore kind of year. Restoring spaces, places, and things that fell by the wayside, growing into new spaces and places that feel right. In the context of knitting/crafting this is restoring what I once enjoyed about my YouTube channel (it’s coming) and my Instagram. For growth it’s stepping into new spaces maybe finally letting myself stash a bit of yarn again.
Last week I could not keep my hands out of my stash and UFO pile. While I’ve got a few projects that I’m working on, I keep going into my UFO pile and pulling out projects that I loved that sat unfinished for one reason or another. I don’t see this trend ending any time soon since I’ve managed to cover my desk with projects and yarn and I still have bins I want to crack open and familiarize myself with yarn I’ve forgotten about.
This was one of the projects that got pulled out and worked on this past week, it’s a Lace Ribbon Scarf from Knitty and it’s my FOURTH. One of the early days of this blog, I knit three of them as gifts, but never made one for myself. February 2020 I cast this on and must have worked on it a tiny bit before it got shuffled into a project bag in favor of a design project. The yarn is from La Drougerie and is so squishy and soft.
Have a great week!
